My story
As Head of Education and Social Affairs at NXG, Birgit Geercken contributes her extensive experience to the development of social projects and educational programs within the international NXG network. NXG – a globally oriented initiative against xenophobia and for peace – benefits from Geercken's expertise in integration work and inclusive education. Among other things, she designs educational programs that promote tolerance, understanding, and a sense of community, and ensures that sporting events of the NXG World Soccer League are linked to educational initiatives and social programs.
With decades of experience, she understands how crucial early childhood education is for peaceful coexistence and contributes accordingly to shaping NXG's guiding principles. Her wealth of experience – from professional work in large educational institutions at the state level to prevention work and innovative educational projects – makes her a key driving force at NXG in the fields of education and social issues.
